About our altimeters

The Mercury altimeter is our most popular altimeter right now

Mercury V1 - A small light flight computer and data logging altimeter

Mercury V1 - A small light flight computer and data logging altimeter

RRP: £56.99   $76.45   €64.97
GTIN: 5061078870020
MPN: MRS-MERCURYV1
Our Mercury altimeter has a range of highly accurate sensors and uploads flights hassle free over WiFi to the Altimeter Cloud website.

This device can be used as a simple turn it on and fly altimeter with tons of data that you can view afterwards, or as a small flight computer as well.

There are plenty of expansion modules and settings to manage plenty of advanced rocketry tasks. Our Action rules system lets you create actions when conditions are met from all the available data.

The Mercury V1 altimeter lets you view your altitude, velocity, acceleration axis, gyroscope data, tilt angles from vertical as well as pitch, roll and yaw, board temperature, predicted apogee, and even the air density as you fly.

With a MT1 expansion temperature sensor you can also add highly accurate air temperature readings to your logs.

Here is a recent sample flight flown on a Mercury that you can view Flight 1146 chart

The Mercury will fit in a 18mm tube (out of it's default case) and easilly in a 20-22mm tube in it's case. It weighs under 8 grams and has a 6 hour battery life in flight mode.
Whats more it has a internal battery and build in charger from it's USB-C port, so you don't have to worry about anything other than using it.

It is also really accurate! With the latest sensors you can have fun testing it measuring the height of your desk from the floor for example.

The Mercury works best with WiFi (Either home WiFi or a mobile hotspot via your phone), but you can also connect a SnapShot screen add on to view a summary of your last flight, or connect to it's internal WiFi server to view more information without any internet.

You can read lots more about the Mercury using the links below.

Have a go at setting a new altitude record with our tiny Nano altimeter

Nano V1 tiny 50Hz altimeter, just 1.35 grams 19mm x 10mm

Nano V1 tiny 50Hz altimeter, just 1.35 grams 19mm x 10mm

RRP: £49.99   $67.06   €56.99
GTIN: 5061078870044
MPN: MRS-NANOV1
The Nano V1 altimeter is a really small altimeter.
It offers highly accurate pressure based altitude logging at a impressive 50 samples per second.

This altimeter weighs only 1.35 grams including it's onboard Lithium battery, there is also a battery charger built into the Nano. So when you plug it into a USB port it will charge itself and show up as a mass storage drive with all your flight logs.

You can upload your flight logs to the Altimeter Cloud from this USB drive, and the secure firmware also signs the logs. This means you can prove a flight log is genuine and undedited by uploading it to the verification tool on the Altimeter Cloud website.
So nobody can question your new altitude record!

The Nano has a 5 hour battery life in flight mode from a full charge, so you don't need to worry about it running out while waiting to launch either.

The onboard multi colour status LED gives you information about the configuration state, if it's ready to fly in flight mode and even when the battery is getting low as well.

If you have space you could consider our Mercury V1 altimeter as this is still pretty small and has additional sensors offering even more value. Or why not get both to cover all your plans and projects...

Why not crack on with a new project using some accessories for your altimeter?

Nano V1 altimeter
The Nano V1 altimeter is a tiny barometric pressure only data logging altimeter. It's great for compeitions and altitude record attempts on smaller rockets as it comes in at under 1.4 grams including it's onboard rechargeable battery.

Add ons for the Mercury V1
The Mercury has plenty of add ons for new projects. We have a Servo expansion board, a board to add more high current outputs and even a really accurate external temperature sensor. Check them out on this page.

Here's a preview of a few new products coming soon

Neptune V1 - A powerful flight computer

Neptune V1 - A powerful flight computer

RRP: £99.99   $134.13   €114
GTIN: 5061078870150
MPN: MRS-NEPTUNEV1
In development: Prototypes have been verified, firmware is now in development. We are hoping to launch the Neptune in July to August 2026.

The Neptune V1 is our first high powered and exteremly well specified flight computer. It's still pretty small though, we've pictured it along side a 10 pence piece.

The Neptune has been designed to be plug and play with secure cable connectors, meaning you don't need to solder or get hugely involved in cables to use this flight computer. Your external battery can be connected via the onboard high quality XT30 battery plug.

Connector boards are connected to the Neptune via Molex Nano-Fit secure connectors. The 4x high current outputs are not your standard simple mosfet either, they are fully protected against over current and over temperature. They can also measure the exact resistance of your connected items so you can tell if there is an error before you fly. The current on each channel is also logged in the flight logs along with the resistance.

The Neptune also has 4 servo header pins included on the board so you can do plenty of advanced missions using the powerful rule building section of the Neptunes firmware.

Sensor wise the Neptune has a state of the art pressure sensor, a 3-axis 80G accelerometer, a second 3-axis 16G accelerometer, a 3-axis high quality magnetometer, a 3-axis 4000dgps gyroscope, a on board 0.1C accuracy temperature monitor and of course full monitoring of all outputs.

The Neptune has many other advanced features such as its built in LiPo battery that can be used to either power the board as primary or act in UPS mode using your external battery source first with the onboard battery as a backup to keep it running no matter what. There is a second tiny LTO battery and ultra precise real time clock so your flights will always have accurate time stamps.

The Neptune has a 256 MByte flight log storage memory which can be accessed via the MEM port on the front of the board should your Neptune be damaged. This will hopefully allow another Neptune to recover your flight data should there be a unexpected and unplanned accident.

Please feel free to drop us a email if you're interested in the Neptune so we can email you when they are ready.
